Food Anthropologist & live fire and BBQ Expert

The Founder

Emily McCorkell

Fire Cook, Food Anthropologist

Emily founded Wild & Fired to help people taste the landscape: to bring her work with fire, food and place to those who want to know where their meal came from and how it was cooked.

Her cooking sits at the intersection of fire-craft and food anthropology, drawing on the rituals, ingredients and stories of Ireland's northern coast and the wider Atlantic edge. Her work has been recognised across Ireland's food and hospitality awards, and she contributes to food tourism strategy in Northern Ireland.

She writes, teaches and demonstrates, contributes to BBC and national media, and features in the 2025 book Northern Ireland on a Plate.

Available for editorial commissions, brand collaborations, demos and speaking.
